Beginners Wildlife Photography
This workshop is ideal for beginners and those people wanting to improve their photography. If you are keen to find out a more about the basics of photographing animals and nature. Then this workshop is for you. Wildlife photographer, Paul McDougal, will take you through the fundamentals of nature photography and help you to get more out of your camera. There will be options for one-to-one tuition throughout the day, so don’t worry if you are a complete beginner!
Paul has 20 years’ experience of photographing wildlife and has taught, mentored and guided over 1000 photographers in Scotland and worldwide. Paul is also a published author of the best-selling book the “Ultimate Beginners Guide to Wildlife Photography” and is a qualified guide.
Paul has been a finalist in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition 9 times, A finalist of the British Wildlife Photographer of the Year 3 times, A finalist and included in the Bird Photographer of the Year book and a runner up of the Nature TTL Wildlife Photographer of the Year.

- Importance of Backgrounds

Age Restrictions: All participants must be aged 14+ (anybody under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a fully paying adult)
Length: This experience lasts approximately 6 hours (beginning at 0900 on your chosen date).
What to wear: Please make sure you are wearing comfortable (and warm) outdoor clothing. A waterproof jacket is a must.
Can friends/family watch this experience: As this experience begins prior to zoo opening hours there is no entry for friends/family included. Only those taking part in the experience will be permitted entry to the zoo at 0900.
