Volunteers in this role support our animal keepers in a variety of tasks, including diet prep, enclosure maintenance and general facility upkeep. Please note that this role includes minimal hands-on animal experience.
This opportunity would be ideal for someone that enjoys learning more about how we care for both the physical and mental welfare of the animals here at Five Sisters Zoo. This role will involve working outdoors in all weather conditions and some element of physical labour during each shift. Volunteers in this role will work alongside the animal keepers on tasks and may also be asked to complete certain tasks independently once appropriate training has been completed.
