Coconut Lorikeet - Five Sisters Zoo

A multi-coloured member of the parrot family, the Coconut Lorikeet is of the same family as the Rainbow Lorikeet. Their feathers range from black and blue on their heads, to a yellow or green ring around the neck, to a red breast, green abdomen and orange and yellow wings. They are very commonly trapped for the wildlife pet trade, causing significant decline in population.
