Black-headed Weaver - Five Sisters Zoo

Black-headed weavers have yellow feathers with a distinctive black head and red eyes. Males will be more brightly coloured than females, particularly during breeding season. The males are the nest builders, but if the nest is not to the female’s satisfaction, he will have to continue working on it until she is satisfied with its construction.
