Conservation at the Zoo
Wildlife conservation is at the heart of what we do at Five Sisters Zoo. this education officer led session allows learners to find out more about some of the incredible projects we support at FSZ and displays the importance of modern zoos for the conservation of species and their habitats.

Ecosystems, Species and Genes
BIODIVERSITY! Using real examples at Five Sisters Zoo, this session allows students to discover how a modern zoo contributes towards the conservation of biodiversity around the world. Using FSZ case studies students are challenged to discuss how a zoo can be successful conserving genetic diversity, species diversity and ecosystem diversity.

Zoo Careers
Ever wanted to work at a zoo? There may be more to consider the you first thought… This session allows students to explore the opportunities available in a modern zoo and, using FSZ case studies, encourages them to think about how to get into some of the many different roles available in this unique working environment.

Guided Tour
Can’t see a session that fits with what you class have been studying? Don’t let this put you off organising a visit to FSZ. We can organise a tour of the park, taking in some Five Sisters highlights. Feel free to let us know the topics you have covered with your class and, where possible, we will be sure to include some relevant themes in a tour.
