• All tickets must be booked in advance through our online booking system. Tickets will not be available to purchase on arrival.
• Zoo Illuminations is a popular event and many dates are expected to sell out. We recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
• A limited number of Early Bird tickets are available at discounted prices. Once these tickets have sold out, no additional Early Bird tickets will be released.
• Please check that you have selected the correct event date and entry timeslot before completing your booking.
• Once your booking has been completed, you will receive a confirmation email confirming your booking. If you do not receive this email within a few minutes, please check your junk or spam folder before contacting us.
• Your admission tickets will be sent separately, closer to the date of your visit. There is no need to contact us if you have only received your booking confirmation.
• When you receive your admission tickets, you do not need to print them. Simply present them on your mobile device when you arrive.
• Season and corporate tickets are not valid for this event.

• On arrival, please make your way to the ticket desk and have your admission tickets ready for scanning. Tickets can be presented on your mobile device, so there is no need to print them.
• Tickets are valid only for the date and entry timeslot shown on your booking confirmation and can only be used once.
• All visitors included in the same booking must arrive together to gain entry.
• Please aim to arrive as close to your booked entry timeslot as possible. If you arrive a little earlier or later, our team will do their best to accommodate you, although this cannot always be guaranteed during busy periods.
• Zoo Illuminations is a pre-booked ticketed event. All tickets must be purchased online in advance. Unfortunately, visitors without a valid pre-booked ticket will not be admitted.

• Tickets are non-refundable. Please ensure you are able to attend before completing your booking. If you are unable to attend, refunds will not be issued.
• Date changes may be requested up to 24 hours before your booked visit and are subject to availability.
• To request a date change, please contact Adele@fivesisterszoo.co.uk.
• In the unlikely event that Zoo Illuminations is cancelled by Five Sisters Zoo due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances, affected bookings will be transferred to an alternative date where possible or offered a refund.

Zoo Illuminations is primarily on flat pathways and is suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and buggies. There are a small number of steeper hills within the route; however, these can be avoided using alternative accessible paths. The locations of these hills and the accessible routes will be clearly marked on the event map provided on arrival.

Dress Code

Zoo Illuminations is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately for the weather. We recommend wearing warm clothing and suitable footwear.

Parking

• Parking is free of charge.
• There are three on-site car parks available for visitors.
• On exceptionally busy evenings, a courtesy shuttle bus may operate to and from an overflow car park. Our parking attendants will direct you accordingly.
• Groups arriving by minibus or coach should contact the zoo in advance so that suitable parking arrangements can be made.

Smoking & Vaping

Five Sisters Zoo is a non-smoking site. Smoking and vaping are only permitted within the zoo car park.

Dogs

Dogs and other pets are not permitted within the zoo or at Zoo Illuminations. Guide dogs and registered assistance dogs are welcome.

Tickets t o visit Santa must be booked separate from your entry tickets to the illuminations event. Tickets will be sold in timeslots and allow you to have 5 minutes with Santa and receive a small gift. The cost of this is £16.00 per child.

Santa’s grotto will be located outside the main zoo in the car park therefore you can leave the park to visit Santa and re-enter by showing your entry & Santa admission tickets.

Spectacular Illuminations

Experience the magic of Zoo Illuminations as the entire zoo is transformed into a festive wonderland. Wander through beautifully illuminated pathways and discover dazzling light displays, colourful installations and magical photo opportunities throughout the grounds. With lights covering the full zoo, there’s something to enjoy around every corner.

Children’s Rides

Weather permitting, our children’s rides will be open throughout the event. Ride tokens can be purchased from the Token Booth, located in the picnic area, using either cash or card.

Food & Drink

A variety of food and drink outlets will be open throughout the evening, serving hot and cold food, festive treats, hot drinks, crepes, doughnuts and sweets. Our large heated bar area will also be open, offering a selection of food, alcoholic beverages and soft drinks—perfect for warming up during your visit.

Christmas Market Stalls

Browse our festive market stalls featuring a selection of handmade crafts, zoo vouchers, gifts and seasonal treats. It’s the perfect opportunity to pick up unique Christmas presents while enjoying the festive atmosphere.

Group bookings of 15 people or more will receive a 10% discount on admission to the Illuminations event. To qualify for the group rate, all members of the group must be on the same booking and arrive at Five Sisters Zoo together and enter the park at the same time.

Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Tickets

1.1 All tickets must be purchased in advance via our online booking system; walk-ups may be refused entry due to capacity.
1.2 Tickets are date- and time-specific and must be used on the exact date and time selected.
1.3 Admission tickets can be printed or displayed on a mobile device.
1.4 All members of a booking must arrive together. Late arrivals will still be admitted within a reasonable window, subject to capacity.

2. Capacity Changes, Date Changes & Refunds

2.1 Date/time changes may be requested in writing (Adele@fivesisterszoo.co.uk) up to 24 hours before the original booking and are subject to availability.
2.2 No changes are permitted within 24 hours of the event.
2.3 No refunds will be issued for change of mind or non-attendance.
2.4 If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather or other unforeseen circumstances, ticket holders will be offered either a refund or the opportunity to rebook.

3. Event Operation & Conduct

3.1 Zoo Illuminations runs on selected dates in November and December (see website for full schedule).
3.2 The event is outdoors; appropriate winter clothing is strongly recommended.
3.3 The zoo is a non-smoking site. Smoking and vaping are only permitted in designated car park areas.
3.4 Dogs and pets are not permitted, except for guide or assistance dogs.
3.5 The site is mostly flat and accessible for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and pushchairs. Some hills are present but are marked on the park map.

4. Add-On Experiences

4.1 Santa’s Grotto is an additional ticketed experience during December. Entry requires both an Illuminations ticket and a separate Santa ticket (£17 per child).
4.2 Santa sessions are timed at approximately 5 minutes.
4.3 Children’s rides and food & drink outlets are available at an additional cost; tokens or card payment may be required.
4.4 A heated bar area is available serving food, hot drinks, and alcoholic beverages. Children must be supervised at all times in this area.

5. Safety & Liability

5.1 Five Sisters Zoo reserves the right to suspend or cancel the event due to adverse weather, safety concerns, or other operational reasons. Where possible, notice will be given.
5.2 Entry is at your own risk. The Zoo is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property or vehicles, except where required by law.
5.3 Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times, particularly near attractions, rides, and licensed areas.
5.4 Visitors must follow all signage and instructions from staff.

6. Accessibility & Support Needs

6.1 Quiet, autism-friendly evenings are held on selected dates with reduced music volume and capacity.
6.2 For additional accessibility requirements, please contact enquiries@fivesisterszoo.co.uk in advance.
6.3 Assistance dogs are welcome. No other animals are permitted.

7. Privacy & Photography

7.1 By attending, visitors consent to being photographed or filmed, and such material may be used by Five Sisters Zoo for promotional purposes.

8. General

8.1 Five Sisters Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person from the site who is behaving inappropriately, causing disruption, or failing to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

9. Agreement

9.1 During the booking process, you will be required to tick a box confirming that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions before completing your purchase.
