FSZ Illuminations with Blachere

All bookings must be made in advance via our online booking system. We do anticipate another busy year for the illuminations therefore me recommend booking tickets as far in advance as possible to prevent disappointment.

You do not have to print your tickets, you can show these on your phone.

We are offering discounted early bird tickets, once these tickets are sold there will be no more early bird tickets released.

Please double check you have selected the correct date and entry timeslot before confirming your booking.

Once you have completed your booking with for our event, you will then receive a conformation email with your tickets included, if you do not receive the email, please check your junk/spam folder.

On arrival to the zoo please make your way to our ticket desk and present your tickets.  Tickets can be scanned directly from your electronic device therefore there is no need to print these.

Tickets purchased are only valid for the date shown and can only be used once.  All visitors on the one booking must arrive together to gain entry.  Please arrive as close to your booked timeslot as possible, however if you are running slightly late or early you will still gain entry to the park.

This is a ticketed event so please ensure you have purchased your tickets online before coming along.  Visitors without pre-booking tickets may be refused entry on our busier evenings.

Tickets cannot be changed within 24 hours of your booking.

Date changes can only be made up to 24 hours prior to the event depending on availability by contacting Adele@fivesisterszoo.co.uk.

No refunds will be offered as per our terms & conditions.

No refunds will be issued for this event if you are unable to attend.

If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather or any other factors, you will be contacted and offered either a date change or a refund for your tickets.

As the illuminations is an outdoor event, please dress weather appropriate

There is no car parking charge.

We have 3 car parks at the zoo however on exceptionally busy evening we will be running a courtesy shuttle bus to an alternative car park.  Our car parking assistants will direct you accordingly.

Any large groups that have will be arriving by minibus or coach should contact the zoo in advance to ensure there is a suitable car parking space reserved.

The zoo is a non-smoking zone, smoking will only be permitted in the zoo car park, this includes vapes.

The zoo is mainly flat and is wheelchair, mobility scooter and buggy friendly.  We do have a few hills in the park that can be avoided.  These hills will be identified on the map given to you at the entrance.

Dogs and other pets are not permitted into Five Sisters Zoo except for guide-dogs or assistance dogs.

Season and corporate passes holders will not receive discount into the illuminations event.

Tickets t o visit Santa must be booked separate from your entry tickets to the illuminations event. Tickets will be sold in timeslots and allow you to have 5 minutes with Santa and receive a small gift. The cost of this is £16.00 per child.

Santa’s grotto will be located outside the main zoo in the car park therefore you can leave the park to visit Santa and re-enter by showing your entry & Santa admission tickets.

Weather permitting, our children’s rides will be open.  Tokens should be purchased from the token booth located in the picnic area, via cash or card.

There will be a range of food outlets open in the zoo selling hot and cold food, drinks, crepes, doughnuts and sweets.

We will have a range of market stalls selling crafts, zoo vouchers and plenty of other gifts – perfect for buying Christmas presents!

Our heated bar area is in the centre of the zoo, allowing visitors to escape the cold for a short period of time.   Our bar will  e serving alcohol including mulled wine, mulled cider, German beer, baileys and lots more.  We will also be serving some hot food within the area.

Children will be allowed to enter the area however they must stay away from the bar at all times.

We have teamed up with lighting experts Blachere for this years lighting event. Blachere has been developing, designing and manufacturing Christmas lighting products since 1973. Their UK division was established in 2001 and has grown to be the largest supplier of Christmas lighting in the UK.They are working along side us here at FSZ to create this years spectacular event.

Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Tickets

1. All tickets must be purchased in advance via our online booking system; walk-ups may be refused entry due to capacity.
2. Tickets are date- and time‑specific and must be used on that exact date/time only.
3. Admission tickets can be printed or displayed on a mobile device.
4. All members of a booking must arrive together; late arrivals will still gain entry within a reasonable window.

2. Capacity Changes, Date Changes & Refunds

1. You may change your date/time slot via written request (email to Adele@fivesisterszoo.co.uk) up to 24 hours before the original booking and subject to availability.
2. No changes are permitted within 24 hours of the event.
3. No refunds shall be issued for change of mind or non-attendance.
4. If the event is cancelled due to extreme weather or other circumstances, ticket holders will be offered either a refund or opportunity to rebook.

3. Event Operation & Conduct

1. The Illuminations run on select dates in November and December (see website for full schedule).
2. The event is outdoors, and suitable winter clothing is advised.
3. The zoo is non-smoking; vaping/smoking only permitted in designated car‑park areas.
4. Dogs and pets are not allowed, except guide or assistance dogs.
5. The park is mostly flat with a few hills (marked on park map), and is accessible by wheelchair, mobility scooter, and pushchair.

4. Add‑On Experiences

1. Santa’s Grotto is an add‑on ticketable experience during December; entry requires both Illuminations ticket and separate Santa ticket (£16 per child).
2. Santa sessions are timed at 5 minutes.
3. Children’s rides and food/drinks are available at extra cost; tokens or card payment required.
4. Bar service (serving alcohol and hot drinks) is available in a heated area; children must remain supervised and away from the bar.

5. Safety & Liability

1. Five Sisters Zoo reserves the right to suspend or cancel the event due to inclement weather, safety concerns, or other operational reasons; notice may be given during the event.
2. Entry is at your own risk; the Zoo is not liable for personal injury, loss or damage to vehicles, belongings, or third‑party claims, except where mandated by law.
3. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times, especially near exhibits, rides, and the bar.
4. Visitors must obey all posted signs and staff directions.

6. Accessibility & Support Needs

1. Quiet, autism‑friendly evenings are held on selected dates, with reduced music volume and visitor numbers.
2. For other access needs, please contact enquiries@fivesisterszoo.co.uk.
3. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcome; other pets are not permitted.

7. Privacy & Photography

1. By attending, visitors consent to being filmed or photographed for Five Sisters Zoo promotional use.

8. General

1. The Zoo reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person failing to comply with rules or behaving inappropriately.
