Your Winter Trip

We have even more on offer for visiting educational groups exclusively for the winter period!

For the period November 2018 to March 2019, your class will have the opportunity for an exclusive keeper Q & A session, a biodiversity talk, and an animal handling session! We tailor these talks to your needs, and we aim to meet the specific learning objectives and level to best complement your classroom learning. We can discuss a range of topics, from habitats and adaptations, to species distribution, to human impacts on the environment. Please inform our education team prior to your visit if there’s any topic you’d specifically like us to explore!

You can also explore our range of class work booklets (and accompanying teacher’s notes) which you can use on your trip, available here!

What might your class winter trip look like?

For the safety of our staff and visitors, we have made the decision to close the zoo from tonight. Our team of dedicated keepers and vet will continue to make sure all our animals are well looked after. We hope this will not be for too long a period but we will follow government advice and guidelines.

If you would like to donate towards the zoo, we appreciate any help although we know this is a difficult time for everyone.
Thank you all for your continued support and hope we can welcome you all back soon.
