Would you like to get involved in delivering our outdoor learning sessions with visiting groups supporting our Education Team? There is no initial commitment required (days, times etc.), and no zoo experience necessary. This is your chance to spend a bit of time outdoors, learn a few new things and support our fun outdoor sessions! Primarily this will be weekdays only between the hours of 9.00 AM and 3.00 PM.

We will be holding a recruitment day on Tuesday 02 May starting at 10.00 AM; we’ll be all done by 12.00. Please email to register your interest and ask any questions: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

We are very excited to offer something BRAND NEW to Five Sisters Zoo!

This February holiday we are offering young people aged 8 to 15 the chance to get out on our Nature Trail for some pond dipping, looking for some of the wonderful life found underwater in our very own wildlife pond!

After about an hour of searching for the different aquatic animals with nets, microscopes and magnifying glasses, and finding out how healthy the water is through a fun scientific investigation, participants will then head up to our Education Centre for Part Two!

In our Education Centre, your ticket reserves a space in our animal handling session, an intimate 30 minutes with some of our bigger animals (relatively speaking!). You will see a number of animals in here, with the chance to hold them and take a close up look - have you ever looked at a snail in the eye, or felt a gecko on your hands, or even met a Tenrec? (honestly, have you ever heard of one of these unusual animals?!). The animals you meet will be a surprise and may be different to these!

You will also get a lunch box too, so you don't have to worry about that! And if you are around all day, then with this ticket, you are free to explore the rest of the zoo for the remainder of your day! Any accompanying adults will pay regular zoo admission of £11.95 at the ticket desk on your arrival.
