PLEASE NOTE: Leaping Lemurs Soft Play is CLOSED until further notice. This building will be converted into a new Reptile House. A brand new indoor play facility will follow shortly, so please bear with us in the meantime.

Family Ticket (2 adults/2 children): £34.00 + £7.95 for each additional child.

*Concession: applies to pensioners, disabled customers and carers with official photographic ID badge.

At Five Sisters Zoo we give children and adults the opportunity to experience nature close up, instilling a healthy respect for animals and other living organisms. The health and safety of all those visiting the zoo is of utmost importance and we encourage you to review the Risk Assessments that may be required by your organisation.

ANIMAL HANDLING SESSIONS: These fun educational activities are undertaken at the zoo, and this risk assessment is intended to provide an overview of the specific risks and controls required as a result of this activity. The risk assessment General Livestock Interaction MUST be read in conjunction with this document. (being revised, April 2017)

BUGS COUNT AND POLLI:NATION (OPAL) SESSIONS: This assessment covers the risks to individuals and groups participating in these two outdoor learning sessions. (being revised, April 2017)

POND DIPPING (OPAL WATER QUALITY) SESSIONS: This assessment covers the risks to individuals and groups participating in the pond dipping session. (being revised, April 2017)

GENERAL LIVESTOCK INTERACTION: This risk assessment applies to the handling of animals, including category 1, 2 and 3 at Five Sisters Zoo. (being revised, April 2017)

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC: This assessment covers the risks to members of the public visiting the zoo. (being revised, April 2017)

PLAY AREAS: This assessment covers the risks associated with use of the play equipment, including in our outdoor play area. (being revised, April 2017)

VIOLENCE: Your safety is a priority in any given situation. Serious acts of violence are fortunately relatively infrequent. (being revised, April 2017)

OUTREACH: Keepers attend local schools colleges and similar facilities to provide animal handling, education and outreach work for the zoo. The keepers will take the same animals as those used during zoo animal handling sessions. Risk Assessments General Livestock Interaction and Animal Handling Sessions MUST be read in conjunction with this risk assessment as it contains the bulk of specific activity information relevant to this task. MINIBUS: Should your group be utilising the Five Sisters Zoo minibus for transportation to and from the zoo, please review this document. (being revised, April 2017)
